Erased Culture, 28 x 35 cm , Clay, 2019
Erased culture refers to written texts in human history which have been destroyed over time by natural phenomena, war, at the request of certain individuals in history, but traces of them remain and they indicate their vanished existence. Yasmin Bassir creates clay papers, writes on them, and erases those inscriptions afterward with various tools in order to propose them as monuments for an erased and forgotten culture.
